Having problems with WinAVI 8

Hi
I have been using Winavi for over a year. It has been a great converter.
About a week ago, It started messing up.

When I try to convert AVI to DVD, it takes 2-3 hours. The frame rate never goes above 10.

I never change any settings. Anyone else know how to fix?
