I tried flashing my Benq drive following this method:
http://venomousfire.blogspot.com/2008/02...q-xbox-360.html I did it fine on 2 xbox 360 units, so i know it works great.
But, for the third xbox 360, i f'd on the step where you erase the fw. What i did was erase the firmware, forgot to turn the xbox 360 off and tried to write the ixtremem fw to it. well, i got the "xxxxx write errors occurred".
So i tried to erase again and write again using the correct steps, still got the write errors.
then i tried to erase and write the og fw, still write errors.
is my benq drive dead?
yeah, the erase always goes fine, but writing anything to it, orig fw or ix fw, gives me an message "3xxxx errors occurred".
Is there an orig benq fw i could download that i could try to write, i have nothing to lose now.
assuming you used iprep and a usb stick, and have not deleted all the files from it, just run rben and it will take it back to stock. and then instead of using the eben command, just go straight to the fben command. there is no need to erase it by using the command for it. and as to your question of is there a FW for it you can dl, no there is no generic FW for the drives.
