FF6 Rom crashes on Snes-Station

Hello, I'm running SNES Station 0.24 HDD2 and Final Fantasy VI ROM on it, but every time I try to equip the Gauntlet accessory, the game crashes after it tells me the optimum configuration is without anything in the second hand. I've gone ahead without and made it decently far into the game (enough so that I don't want to change ROM files and start over) but I'd like to know if by any chance anyone else has encountered this problem, and if there's anything that can be done to solve it. This also happens when selecting Best for equipment. Thanks.
