I already posted a kind of similar comment on that said topic and even composed a private message to larrylje but the point is this I followed everything in that said topic(even printed it) and I "had" a 3.10OE fat psp then I upgraded it successfully but when I tried upgrading it to 3.71m33, 1st it got an error on the ipkey thingy(i didn't memorize it) and says press x to fix it and r to exit then I pressed X and it said it is fixed but after that it says another error something an that it cant be updated to 3.71m33...it goes back to the normal menu,then I turned it off and when I tried to go to the recovery menu, it just "turns on but the screen is black" and have to hold the power UP for like 5-8 sec. before it goes off....P.S. I also changed the kernel to 3.52 before trying to upgrade it to 3.71m33(just like the guide said)
(I changed the kernel to 3.52 and charged it then tried to update it to 3.71m33,also that MUX 2.0 by ksbo prog. worked, it was when I clicked the icon for the psp update ver 3.71.....
if its 3.52m33 then you need to update to -4 to install 3.71m33
download the -4 update from dark alex web site then download the 3.71m33 update and 1.5kerneladdon and the ofw 3.71, 1.50 update from psp-hacks.com and read through the read me to update
it means your bricked but if you have your pandora/datel/hardmod battery you should be able to unbrick it right?

hey larry, my psp is not ver 1.50....it WAS 3.52m33
Read my post again. I said you will not be able to use your bricked PSP with these guides. You will need 1 that has official or 1 that has Custom on it. Pay attention to the guides and read word for word.
After you create a Magic Memory stick and Pandora Battery you can then use them to recover your bricked PSP to 3.71 M33-2 custom firmware.
