dvd2svcd: 2nd disk length too long to fit cd

The second bin file created after dvd2svcd finishes is 975 Mb and won't fit my 800 Mb CDr. The first bin file is 800 and ok. I checked the bbmpeg ini files and the first ini file setting has a max file size of 735 (Mbyte). The second setting has it at 9999. This makes sense and I expected the bitrate will be calculated to ensure output fits the number of CDs and CD sizes chosen. But somehow I end up with 975 Mb! I restarted dvd2svcd a second time. This time I changed the bitrate menu option so that the number of minutes is -15 of the defaults and changed all the CDr sizes to 740 (except for the last line which I kept to 800). I still ended up with the second bin file of 950. How do I make sure the last bin file generated will fit 800 Mb?
