So i have searched alot on this topic all over but have found no help. I have read the "textbook" and followed its steps but I am now stuck. I loaded ixtreme 1.4 into iprep and made it bootable. I typed in the whole "dsam 1234..." thing. Then it gives me two options of a master and slave drive. I pressed the master option, but then nothing happens. Thats where i'm stuck. I've found some advice saying to turn off the xbox for 10 seconds after pressing "master" and then turning it on, but it didn't work. Can anyone help me or maybe advise another program to use?
BTW, I am trying to flash a Sammy MS25
if it doesnt give you the right status code like the 0x74 or something, whatever its suppose to be, try remaking the usb/floppy with iprep. most of the time this is the problem, at least for me it is.
yes make sure all of your drives are unplugged except the ones you need. not only can it make your drive not flash but you could also accidently flash your main hard drive, or any other drive for that matter, and i dont think that would be a very fun end to the day.

if youre looking for a step by step on how to make iprep, here is what i do for a benq, ill add the differences for a samsung where they should be at.
step 1: put USB stick into USB slot
2: open up iPrep
3: load firmware definition (1.4)
4: select drive letter from drop down box
5: click on patch mtk thing i believe, and then hit make bootable
6: shut down computer
7: deassemble 360 and hook the dvd drive up to the PCI card
8: turn computer on, boot off the USB stick
9: follow command prompts and select master i believe (it will put the orig.bin on the USB stick after you run the dsam 1234567 12345 command.)
10: shut down 360 and computer and restart into windows
11: open up Firmware toolbox and make sure the FW it dumped is a legit one. if so move on, it is all FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF or 77777777777 open up the backup folder and copy the key from there and paste it into the key from the 'original' folder.
12: restart computer and boot off the USB drive.
13: follow command promts and run the fsam 1234567 12345 command to erase/flash the drive with the 'hacked' firmware.
14: shut down 360 and computer
15: put a burnt game in it to make sure it plays.
16: if it plays, put 360 back together
17: if it doesnt play games, see if it will play original games then restart computer off the USB drive, hook 360 back up and run the rsam 1234567 12345 command to restore it to original shape. and start over.
i believe that is all you have to do for a samsung drive with iprep, i havent done for a long time, and that was back when floppy and mtkflash was big, so yea.

No luck so far. Could it be that the sata controller on the computer isnt capatible? Should it be showing IDE slave and master? On the video, I see that the guy has a third option, his PCI card. I am using the SATA that is built onto the motherboard. Could this be the problem? Should I buy a SATA PCI controller?
