wii clip d2ckey chip will not work

and anyone help i have d2ckey mod chip with a clip it is soldered and installed but all i get is the red light on the chip for about 2 seconds and no blue light the red light goes out and then i get unable to read error it will play original wii games i have been unable to get the chip to work since i purchased it please help

Lots of threads asking this same thing.....

When did you purchase your wii?
ARe you sure the d2ckey is compatible with your chipset? (I.E. do you definately have a version 1 d2c chip?)
Have you pressed the clip down hard enough?
What media are you using to burn the iso's on?

purchased the wii in 2008
the drive chip has d2c on it i dont know about v1 or not how can you tell what version it is.
im using maxell dvd+r and imgburn on 2.0 write speed
