What mod chip is this?

I recently bought a modded wii and the kid doesnt know what chip is in the wii. I have orderd the tri-wing screwdrive to take it apart to find out what chip is in the wii. I want to play mario kart but I get the ERROR 001, unauthorized device has been detected. So I think my chip needs to be updated. My wii's ver:3.2U and all I know is that I can run ntsc/us games. I was semi bricked when I got the wii and ran a fix disk to corret the problem.

Your Drive Pins are most likely not cut.

Just open it up to make sure. Follow a guide on how to open up the Wii when you get the screwdriver to make sure that you do not mess anything up.
