ok, ive been reading the boards and didnt see my particular question. sorry if it's an old story.

I was about to buy a PSP and customize it (I'm COMPLETELY NEW) It was a PSP official fw 3.03 --- I knew how to get it to 1.50 with GTA game, then upgrade to cfw 3.90 m33

well...... it has IC1003 on the board... so it's a TA0.

I DONT HAVE a Pandora Battery or Tool or anything. So...

QUESTION------

Am I able to do something to end up with cfw 3.90 m33 on this machine ( official fw3.03 IC1003 motherboard) (without a pandora or tool?)


I believe it can be downgraded to something called 1.50 HEN ??? whtever that is, but then no info.

PLEASE HELP BEFORE I LOOSE THIS GREAT SALE -- that is, if it's worth buying ... i just want to be able to play iso/cso (even newer ones)

well if you can dowgrade it with gta...
and you want to bring it up to 3.90m33
you dont need a pandora battery...
since your already at 1.50....

all you have to do is update to 3.52m33 and then to 3.90m33...
i dont think it can be updated straight to 3.90m33...
and you can do this by downloading the custom firmwares form

You have 3 options...

Use the GTA 3.03 downgrader to downgrade it to 1.50 then up to CFW.

Update the PSP to 3.50 Official Firmware and use Lumines to downgrade it to 1.50 then up to CFW.

Use a Magic Memory Stick + Pandora/Datel tool battery to install CFW to it.

HERE is a good guide that walks you through downgrading with GTA/Lumines. Reads sections "-2.81 - 3.03 Any Motherboard" for GTA or "-3.10 - 3.50 Any Motherboard" for lumines.

HERE is a guide that walks you through the Magic memory Stick + Pandora/Datel tool battery option.
