I was recently on vacation where I took several movies with me which I had backed up....meet the spartans...semi pro...a couple of ufc dvds..ect... When I played them back, they play back in what appears to be reverse order..ie: starts at the end of the movie. I have never seen anything this strange in my computing life. I am using dvdshrink with the latest version of anydvd on a vista 64 machine. Has anyone encountered anything like this and what did you do to fix the issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

To clarify....the movies are not scrambled as in the sound is backwards or the video is playing backwards its the movie itself is playing finish to start.

I have tried these movies on my home dvd player as well as the dvd player on the pc that I backed them up on. As I go through the other movies it appears as though this problem started when I started burning after installing vista64. Whats even stranger, I just ran one back through dvdshrink and when playing it in the dvdshrink viewer it plays back normal....Im not makin this up..I have never in my life seen anything this bizarre and I have been backing up movies for several years now

DVD Shrink will not show the problem. It's reading the VTS you clicked on. The IFO's may have somehow gotten screwed up. Try using PgcEdit in the trace mode to see the actual playing order of the files.
What program did you use to burn?
What name discs are you using?
A bad burn can cause the player to read the discs incorrectly.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

I have nero 8 as the burner. Now that I have looked at meet the spartans enough times I think it might be the order. I copied some of the extra files along with the movie. Im going to try to rip it again and delete the extra files. The disks Im using are memorex and I went back to some disks I have had trouble with in the past Ridata...which are good for backing up data but not so good for dvd play back. Both disk types have produced the same results. My last attempt was switching disks to the Ridata...same result. Will now try to get rid of extras

Copying just the movie file yielded the same result. It seems as though the scenes have been scrambled and from what I can tell the end scenes are the beginning. Ill try this on my laptop tomorrow and see if I get the same thing. The laptop has standard vista.,.
