For some reason, I am able to rip the directors cut just fine but the theatrical side does not even show in my drive. Is this a common problem with this disc? I can play the theatrical side in my DVD player just fine. This movie is good and I prefer to have both versions copied. Even if I didn't want both sides copied, I am stubborn enough to want to know what the issue here is. :-)

Need more info here.

What are you using to rip?

Where's it hanging up?

I have a plextor burner and have tried the following programs: Nero, NTI, IMGBurn, and now CloneDVD. The issue though is that the computer cannot even detect that a disc is in the drive when I insert it to play the theatrical side. Again, my DVD player has no issues playing that side though.

Hmmmm, my Dell Drive detects that side though. I really don't want to rip with that drive, but it appears I may have to. I have a Lite On burner packed away somewhere so I will try that instead. Odd that the Plextor cannot detect that side.

I already got my Lite On hooked up and I can just use that drive to rip this time. However, what are some reasons the Plextor cannot detect this side of the disk like the other drives can?

There was marker writing on the disc itself which prevented it from being detected in the burner, even though a DVD Player handled it just fine. Alcohol removed the marker and now all is well.

I posted this just in case this can help anyone someday.
