I'm trying to extract a few files from my restore cd, namely the os files. But I can't even view the damn things to confirm this. Tried Isobuster, Undisker, CiderPress, Daemon Tools, and CDimge...no luck. Any suggestions?

TIA!

If those programs wont open it, odds are the IMG file is f*kt. Consider burning the file first?

Well, I acutally hadn't consider burning them yet. They're on the disk as .img files. So...I don't see how burning them to cd would help me at this point. I need them "unpacked". Ya know what I mean. I've scanned the disk for copy protection and errors, etc, none were found. Not really sure what to do here.

Any suggestions? please!:(

The best you have to offer is, "it's f*cked up!"? Not much of a suggestion if you ask me. Especially considering I can put the disk in the cd-rom, boot, and it runs perfectly. :/ Based on that fact alone, it's clearly *not* f*cked up. It apparently just requires a lil more "work" to get the info off of it. Which is why I posted on this forum in the first place. So...anyway else who might have some *constructive* suggestions to make, please do.

TIA!

- Just because you can do a couple things with the disc doesnt mean its the disc is fine
- Of course its nice that you havent defined what "runs perfectly" means

Oh this is a lovely contradiction. If you want people to help you, its always a good thing to give good information before you wanna start a friggen torch-war (which you probably shouldnt with me).
- Question for you: how does one insert, boot and run a cd without first burning the image?

Well, considering that I'm talking about a Restore CD, what do *you* think "runs perfectly" means?

Do you even read what you type? They only one on a pedestal here would be your silly lil self. "...IMG file is f*kt.", I fail to see anything even remotely helpful about that. Why did you even bother posting?

It not likely you even know my age. Or could guess it for that matter. Sticks and stones, huh?

Perhaps if you had bothered to read the post in it's entirety, it would make sense.

what files are you needing from the restore disc? If it's just the OS, you're probably out of luck. If there are specific files you need to fix a problem, there may be other ways to go about it. Be more specific with what you are trying to do, and maybe we can help you sort it out.

**And a word to the wise, DO NOT argue with a mod. Show some respect, and so will we. If you dont like the way that Praetor is handling your situation, politely ask that he unsubscribe from the thread and I'm sure he'd honor that, it aint like this is the only thread he has to deal with, 1 less thread to deal with wouldn't exactly hurt his feelings. Or maybe even post a new thread being more specific and maybe others will join the thread and help you solve your problem. But when people look at this and see you arguing, I seriously doubt they would be willing to jump in on the fun.**
