Megui Error - MKV Playback on Xbox 360

Hi,

First time poster here.

I've read the .mkv playback guide and I'm having a problem:

Megui just won't encode my audio files. I queue up the job, send it to a worker (also tried skipping that step along with several other variations) then the status goes from "waiting" to "error".

I tried muxing the video with the original audio (AAC HE, which by the way, the guide mentions nothing about) and the audio/video sync goes all over the place. I'm guessing it has something to do with the bitrate possibly not being constant.

The file is at High@L4.0 so it can't be that. So I have a couple of quetions:

Is there a free alternative to or a fix for the Megui error?

Do I still need to encode in AAC LC if the files are in AAC HE?

Will the Xbox really only recognize one audio track? Because I have an avi file with a commentary track that I can switch back and forth to on the 360.

i'm having a completey diferent issue. When i remux files and change the extension to .avi, it works perfectly in windows media but not on my xbox. Then when i split the file with yamb, the LAST file it splits out ALWAYS works on Xbox, however none of the previous ones work. The best i can do is watch the second half of the movie.

The error im getting is that the file may be corrupt and a new codec needs to be downloaded. however, the files that do work on my xbox are exactly the same. I've even tried splitting it down extremely small. any solutions?
