hi im going to get a ps3 and i was just wondering if there was any modchips or anything out for the console yet

Check the stickies. PS3 backups cannot be played. PS2 backups can be played with the swap switch if you don't have the 40 gig unit.

did you guys read his question, yes there is a chip out by infectus... so far as of early development, it allows flashing of the ps3's fw.. so far no game backups is possible yet...
@Zero, he asked about if modchips are available yet not if backups can be run...

@Bawango pretty useless answer... congratulations you helped him real good

The infectus is useless right now, no hacks have been found on any of the ps3's firmwares so there's no point to being able to downgrade right now.

The infectus is useless right now, no hacks have been found on any of the ps3's firmwares so there's no point to being able to downgrade right now.

I post everything at the same time of day so naturally when I do post there is a string of them. And I know what its like to have to sit and wait for hours for someone to answer a question so I try to help as many as quickly as I can.
