I am having trouble cloning some dvd's. I am running Vista on my computer and using DVD Fab5 DVD Shrink 3.2. It lets me burn the movies to DVD. But when I put it in my DVD player it starts in the middle of the movie and only shows about 10 seconds. Then it stops and starts back it the same spot and repeats itself over and over again. It never will go to the main menu and then finally it just freezes and wont do anything. At first I thought it might be a bad disc. But I have burned 5 and they were the same. I have never had this happen before. If anyone knows what's wrong please let me know.

If you're using the full version of DVDFab, you don't need to use DVD Shrink. Are you burning with DVDFab?
If not, what program is doing the burning?
What name media are you using?
What speed are you burning at?
Whatever program is doing the burning there will be a log file.
Can you post the log here?

I am running the dvd's through Fab to remove the copy protection. Then through Shrink to shrink it down to fit on a 4.7GB disc. I think it is using Nero 8 to burn it. As far as the media goes I'm using Verbatim discs and burning at 16x. I'm not sure about the log file. Would that be the Temp Folder it makes?

Try using ImgBurn to burn at 8X.

Do you mean still use Shrink but just use ImgBurn instead of Nero? If so How do I change it from Nero to ImgBurn?

Yes.
From what I understand, Nero 8 does not work well with Shrink but ImgBurn is the best burning program you can get and it's free.

OK.

I have downloaded ImgBurn and installed it. When I go to DVD Shrink it is still saying burn with Nero. How exactly do I change it from Nero to ImgBurn?

I could not get ImgBurn to work correctly either the DVD turned out the same way.

But I figured out that Nero 8 was the problem. So I installed Nero 7. It worked fine and the DVD turned out great the first time. Then when I went back to burn another one and Shrink is saying this now: (To enable burning, please install Nero). I already have Nero installed and it worked fine with the first DVD. Does anyone know what might be causing it to say this?

Reinstall Shrink. It will detect the different Nero version.

try a clean reinstall

uninstall
run CCleaner
do a disc cleanup
defrag
reboot and reinstall dvd shrink

nero 8 will work as long as you don't autoburn. create an ISO image file to the HDD
