i have been having this problem since i got my new samsung syncmaster 226bw. The problem is that when i download a movie when i see it seems too bright and with lines, althought i try messing around with the brightness and contrast it get sometimes even worse than before. Any doubts feel free to ask

And what software are you using to view the movie? I have the SyncMaster 245BW and have never had a problem when viewing movies.

But then again, I don't download movies. Your problem could be in the junk quality of the download.

Both should work fine. Have you tried playing a regular commercial DVD movie?

NOT knowing the source of your d/l I can't say anything about the file. I wouldn't talk about "illegal" material anyway. ;)

It sounds to me that you d/l a PAL instead of a NTSC based file. Assuming your are from the states. ;) Are you using an/a encoding/transcoding software? There could be an issue there as well.. ;)

yes i have tried with a normal dvd.
I have also tried with a tv capture card and also it keeps being the same so my conclucion was that there was something wrong with the monitor config
