Hi guys. New here. I have done a few psp's using v3 of UPMS. So anyways I used my fat psp to flash my friends slim psp (TA-085v2) and followed the directions. I copied all the .pbp's, chose the option to install 3.90 m33 and it all flashed ok, didnt come up with errors *except when i was doing the backup portion before DC5 loaded, it said bad block while backing up*. Once it was done flashing psp turned off. I removed pandora batt and UPMS and inserted original battery. Here is where the psp now loads to the background (wavy background) however no XMB comes up , and after about 30 seconds it just shuts off. If i hold the R trigger while loading, it loads to the m33 recovery menu. Anyone hear of this before? what could i try to restore it? Thanks

your semi-bricked. try reflashing your firmware.

The problem with my psp is similar to yours. I starts up and gives me a background screen, but none of the main screen categories and it doesn't shut off. I haven't traded with anyone or made any installations, so should I still try to reflash my firmware? Did it work for you CrazyK69? How do you do it anyway?
