I'm trying to put a game on my PSP that was given to me on a CD from a friend. The extension is .cso --I just bought my PSP 2 days ago. I have a memory stick in it, but after I drag and drop it into the main memory stick window, when I start the system and try to open the game, it says the file is corrupted. What am I doing wrong?

my system software is version 3.95

that seems to be the problem. 3.95 official firmware can not play .iso or .cso games. U need a custom firmware. To get that u need the pandora's battery.

Since ur friend has a .cso CD. Then ur friend is most likely to have a custom firmware or at least 1.50 . Borrow her psp to make the battery. Here is a guide

If u cant get any custom firmware psp. Then u need to either buy the DATEL tool battery or hardmod (opening the battery up) the battery. If is this is ur choice, then use this guide
