GH3 crackling on hdd

OK first Ihad th eold trigger disk exploit on my memory card and Guitar Hero 3 was working perfectly from the hdd. Now I;ve installed the Free MC Boot exploit and now every so often a song my have crackling in it. At first I thought it was the audience clapping but then got work.

Any one know why this is happening? Using hdloader 0.8c both times.
