Hey, i tried fixing my cracked psp lcd screen the other day, i took it out very precisely and put in a replacement screen in making sure to push the connections in firmly and snap shut firmly, however now the screen won't turn on anymore. You can still hear startup sounds and clicking of scrolling in the xmb, however there is no picture on the screen!! HELP!!
*the old lcd screen won't work either when plugged in
thanks

you probably need to disassemble and verify all connections then try again...if it doesn't turn on then it is very well possible that you got a defective lcd. That does happen from time to time and most retailers, even ebayers, have a 30 day warranty. Hope that helps

put it in the light its highly posable that you have blown the fuse for the back light.

did you have the battery in when you repaced it?

its a simple fix (had to do it myself) just bridge over the small FD fuse on the motherboard and your sorted.

if you can just make out the screen the ill give you a link to bridging the fuse. all you need is some soldee and a soldering iorn.

heres the guide - http://www.llamma.com/PSP/repair/PSP_fuse_repair.htm

when it shows you the fuse where it is to test just get a flat head screw drive and bridge it with that. make sure the screen is plugged in correctly.

you should se it come on it may flash as its not a good stable connection so only do it once to see if it works.

if so follow the guide and it'll help you out.

(i blew mine when i left the battery in when i didnt have the screen in DOH!!)
