I am interested in buying a modchip for my D2B Non Cut Wii. But I want to use the Wii Clip because I lack soldering experience and I'm afraid I'll break my wii. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the best modchip/wii clip combo is for the D2B?

Hey Virgil1,
With the D2B you could go with a Wasabi chip. I've not had any problems with them. But if you have no experience with soldering then you should contact a modder to install it for you. You can take them a chip and have them put it in so you don't have to worry about doing it correctly. Have them hard solder all the connections for you, with the D2B there will only be 5 connections to make and forget about the Wii-Clip. Use the $ you save on the Clip to pay a modder to make the 5 connections for you. Should be simple. Good Luck!

A presoldered WiiKey/WiiClip combo - then for you it's a screwdriver job. I don't hold truck with this "wii-clip might come off" if you're going to subject your wii to sufficient shock to dislodge the clip, then soldering is just as likely to ping off.
