The files were captured on a Mac from P2 cards in 720p, and when played on my PC (Vista) it won't show any image but the sound and window size is opened properly.

I went through these forums and tried various solution ideas like deleting my current codecs and manually installing them again, but it yields the same result. Sound plays and the window actually opens to the video size but nothing shows.

I urgently need a solutions I have a deadline aaargh.
