wiikey stopped working :-(

Can anyone shed some light on why my wiikey has sudenly stoppped working?

Have been running back-up's burnt onto Verbatim discs for a while which have all stopped loading. Even the wiikey setup disc will not load.

Had the wii setup to download from nintendo24 and am not sure if this has installed some new software that has killed the wiikey?!

Any ideas??
