well ive been playing xbox live a lot using only trial sessions..but today when i was going to put a one year gold membership, testing the connections it failed only at "xbox live" part...this has been happening for about a week... i dont know what to do please help
any questions please ask

why are you testing the connections? try puting a membership on and then testing the connection. if it wont let you. wire your modem straight to your xbox. (taking the router out of the picture if you have one) if that fixes it you need to look up how to open your NAT.

I would put the gold membership on there first, if testing the connection is part of that process then i guess you have to fix that first.
In order to do that you need to post up the setting you have for your network, and what your PC shows. Without that information no one can really see if your set up is right.
By information i mean the IP Address, Subnet Mask, DSN servers and so on. Plus if you have it set up as static (manual) or DCHP (automatic) on both the PC and 360.

well... when i turn on my 360 and my profile is loging in "ok"...but then it apperas...Could not connect to xbox live, test connection...then every thing is good until it stops at xbox live part.. I cant even make another profile because it just wont let me connect to 'live...but im getting internet connection though.

well i think its not a setting problem because , the IP set up its in automatic and gets the right IP...it connected directly to my modem, which gives internet i already test it

your system is banned. nothing you can do except get a new 360. if you want to keep live, don't flash the new 360 and use original games.
you can verify it's a ban with the steps HERE

if your 360 is modded to play backups, then that's most likely you were banned. if you never touched the system, then you were banned for other reasons. dunno for what, since i never use LIVE gold.

how can they know am using pirated games?
sh*t thats unfair i mostly like 98% of the time i played RAINBOW SIX LAS VEGAS which was original

even if you use originals, but the drive is flashed, the system supposedly makes a log of all the games you play (original or copied). once you log into LIVE, that list is sent to the microsoft. then, it's only a matter of time before they drop the ban hammer.
your only choice for LIVE is to get a second 360 and keep it intact. don't flash it, don't send it off to get modded, keep it original.

Ah. The almighty banhammer has struck. This has happened to me. I had a flashed 360, and microsoft allowed me a taste of 1 month xbox live and then boom! fails on Xbox Live, and if you look at more info, it WILL say your console is banned.
What i did? I bought an unmodded console, and shopped for second hand games, or bought the games i really wanted to play.
Go Legit if you want to play on Xbox Live. Their charge for allowing users to play ANY game on Xbox Live with everyone in the world is very reasonable.
My advice, get a 2nd xbox 360 for Xbox live play (for multiplayer games like COD4 and Halo3). Keep your banned console for playing single player games. If you want to keep earning gamerscore, just use one HDD for each xbox so you can keep your achievements.
A word of warning: We were lucky enough that MS did not decide to ban our xbox Live accounts. So im not really sure if MS checks if the gamerscore earned is from pirated games, so again, it's your choice.

ok its a good idea to buy one, but for expample i can buy the simple console that brings no HDD, but can i still use my old HDD????

That's actually a good idea. Get an xbox 360 Arcade, which should be cheaper, use that for Xbox Live. Keep your banned modded console for single player games. Just use the same HDD.
