i want to know because i seen to have an affect on my ps2 backups?

a dummy file is placed at the beginning of ps2 games to make the game be on the outer surface of the disc which will allow the ps2 to read the actual game file at higher speeds they maybe removed from the backup disc but this will slow it down when loading

and in case you think ,no u can't burn to the outer surface of a cd before filling the sectors before that particular area

Does the size of the dummy files matter? coz i've seen dummy files of different sizes.
