I've tried everything to rip "Other Boleyn Girl" and keep getting errors.....is there a new protection out there

What errors? What does "everything" include. If you don't give us more information, it will be difficult, if not impossible, to read your mind in order to try to help you.

yes newer dvds use copy protection that dvd shrink cant decrypt you need anydvd

I keep getting read errors on vob, (possible copy right protection) it says and I've tried lastest anydvd, and dvd fab platnium. Maybe its a bad dvd I rented but it looks good and clean. Just seeing if anyone has had problems. I've ripped dvds for a a 3 years and this it the first problems I've had.

Since you are getting read errors, I would expect that you may have a badly pressed original disc. Exchange for another and try,try again....

Agree. Bad presses are seemingly more commonplace these days.

Must be a bad disk. I used dvdfab platinum when I got it and had no problems at all.
