You should try imgburn version 2.3 it works. Also don't burn faster than 4x. Don't forget to set the layer break. Hope this helps.

get rid of the e-mail link, and quit acting so despreate. only worry if there is a fire, and you dont have a fire yet. write back. every little detail you can give use so we can solve your problem for you. i cant tell you how to fix the prob by you just saying your drive dosn't work. and yes switching the program you are burning with would be recommended. burn at 2.4x, first.

Read all your posts twice, still not sure what you are trying to say. Based on your thread title. I'd say try CLoneCD.

Guys it's so easy to burn a 360 even my not-so-smart little brother can do it.
1. Open up ImgBurn.
2. Make sure you have your .dvd and .iso files ready. If you don't have a .dvd file then you can create it with Mulleter.
3. Put a blank DVD+R DL disc inside your burner. Should be quality media such as Verbatim Made in Singapore.
4. Wait for ImgBurn to recognize the disc.
5. Browse for the .dvd file and select it.
6. Make sure the max burn speed is 2.4x.
7. Click the big button.
8. Now wait for the burn to finish.
You guys just make it too hard for yourselves. Also that Cookies 360 burner or whatever is a rip off. I believe you have to pay for it? It's just a re-skinned ImgBurn! He also has a Wii version I believe haha. Just another scam to fool typical YouTube users.

@NDarkness you should write a guide for img burn.
Because that is exactly how you do it. i used to be a huge dvd decryptor fan, but now i use img burn for all of my img burning needs! i hate having 4-5 programs just to burn cd's. 1-2 is plenty for me. so yea just read above this and that how you do it. i would get rid of those cookies or whatever it is your using because i am sure img burn has much more support, and is updated twice as often.

homesick or NDarkness or anyone else, if i could have some help that would be great. ive been trying to find out how to be able to burn 360 games and have them work properly on my xbox.
from what i understand so far is that i need to:
1. flash my xbox drive(samsung TS-H943--which i dont know how to do)
2. buy a dual layered drive for my computer(does the type of drive matter, or does it just have to be dual layered???)
3. get some dual layered disks,, and from what it sounds like IMGBURN is the best program to use
unfortunatly the only thing ive done so far is find out my type of drive and watch a lot of youtube videos that all contradict eachother. please help

I am not sure what the big deal with this cookies program is. I mean how much easier can you get then IMGburn. You set it up the first time (burning speed, layer break if needed, and booktyping if you can). After that you just choose a file and click start?
And there is also a nice big bold thread at the top that i am sure says "read first" that would have answered all of these questions.
I read through this post and i see so much confusion and mis-infomation that it is hard to follow. Like this whole business about deleting the layer break. You never have to delete the layer break or change the .DVD file at all.
People need to read the sticky threads first, that is what they are there for.

1. YOU NEED A MODDED XBOX 360 (FIRMWARE FLASH DRIVE) TO PLAY THIS GAME.
2. USE Imgburn to burn the game iso after you extract it from the rar zip files.
3. You need DVD+DL Double Layer disc 8.5GB (recommend Verbatim disc Made in Singapore not India- cheap media i.e. HP and Memorex will cause problems).
4. You need A good DVD dual layer burner (recommend Pioneer DVR-115D)
5. Always book type to DVD-ROM when burning some drive's do this auto some need to be set in the burning program.
6. You might want to defrag your hard drive first and close any other programs running when burning. You should also uninstall any other burning software you have on your computer.
7. BURN AS SLOW AS YOUR DRIVE AND MEDIA WILL ALLOW 2.4x recommended.
9. If you?re already having a DVD burner I recommend you update the firmware on it for better media compatibility better burns.
9. ImgBurn v2.4.2.0 get the latest version http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Using ImgBurn to burn XBOX 360 Games
Manually set the layer break from the main screen click on "Tools" then down to "Settings"
The tab you want is "write" so just click on the "Write" Tab.
Top right you will see ?Layer Break (for DL Media)? You need to select
"User specified? then, where it says "sectors in L0", enter 1913760 now click ok.
Layer break of 1913760 is specifically for 360 games. If you burn anything else
On a dual layer then you will have to amend that.
1) Open Imgburn. Make sure "Mode" is set to "Write"
Book typing (tools>drive>change book type) set it to DVD-ROMs a Pioneer burner's do it auto.
2) Ensure that if you have more than one drive, the correct one is selected in "Destination"
3) insert a DL DVD+R in drive let the drive spin while ImgBurn reads your blank disc.
4) Browse for, and load, the .DVD file for your game. If there is no .DVD then load the disc image game.iso instead.
5) The information on the left will now be filled and the layer breaks of 1913760
Will be displayed there. If it doesn't then stop and recheck everything!
6) Select burn speed burn at 2.4x, some people burn succesfully at 4x.
7)You can check the "Verify" box if you want, I never do, it takes ages and you find out far quicker if
there is a problem with the completed disc when you put it in the 360!
8)Click the burn icon in the bottom left corner. At 2.4x it takes about 42 minutes.
9)When the disc reaches 100%, you still have to wait for the disc to finalise. At the end of the burn you will get a small pop up box telling you the burn has
completed, simply click " ok" on the pop up box .
About media (Use good media or you will have problems game freezing or unplayable).
You need DVD+DL Double Layer disc 8.5GB (recommend Verbatim disc Made in Singapore not India- cheap media i.e. HP and Memorex will cause problems).
You need A good DVD dual layer burner (recommend Pioneer DVR-115D)
Your newer laptop may have a different drive where its write strategy is better at higher speeds than lower speeds. (Especially likely with certain brands of DVD drive and media/dye combo). Whereas you?re older drive could only burn reliably to cheap/average media at slow speeds.
Also although those burns work on your 360 they may not work on someone else?s.... If for example you have a benq drive and another person has a Hitachi.... That throws another spanner in the works as the read strategy will be different on each drive.
The only sure fire way to make sure you get a consistent working burn on ANY 360 is find a DYE it and your writer likes and stick to that dye.
Higher quality dyes like MCC and Taiyo Yuden are more likely to work, the chemicals used in LEGIT dyes of that type have a much higher ability to deal with read and write errors.
Some people 360 won't run copies at all even with top end media until they replace or adjust the laser, for others midrange stuff will work fine.
I dare say for some datawrite disks will indeed work in some 360 drives, but for the majority it won?t (SO before anyone says it don?t bloody bother saying they work for you because it doesn?t matter what works for you as you will be in a small minority).
There are so many variables (software used, burner used, disks used, reader in your 360 used the list is endless). To say such and such media works fine is pointless as another person is unlikely to have the exact same set up as you.
My advice to is don't touch the datawrite cause its unlikely to work (at least reliably) if however in the past you successfully used cheapo media they may be worth trying in a small quantity at first (personally I wouldn?t bother as the dye and quality of the burn 6 months down the line will decay...... oh yes it will, scan it in Nero cd speed or dvdinfo pro after you burn it, make notes, then scan it again in 6 months...)
The dye will have started to decay which eventually will lead to your 360 giving a 2 fingered salute when you try to load it.
Cheap media really is a waste of time IMO, at the least buy something midrange in quality, the amount of difference in price makes cheap media a false economy in the long run.

Exactly what llennoc wrote out.
Just suck it up and use img burn, all those other software are old school, get with the program and go new school, I have never had an issue with 2.3, dont get 2.4(my personal opinion) it just complicates things.

There is no known reason why people get banned off xbox live.
All you can do is protect yourself the best you can. Follow these
instructions. As long as your discs are +r dl they should be ok.
First, if you haven?t already. You will need to download Net Framework 2.0 This is needed so that XDVDMulleter may work.
Next, you will need the latest XDVDMulleterBeta 10.2
How to tell if your X360 ISO is stealth patched:
For this first method, we will be using XDVDMulleter Beta 10.2 to check an X360 ISO?s Stealth Status.
Step 1:
Select View ISO Details and click the Browse button to search for the ISO file. Once done, click Next.
Step 2:
You should now be viewing the ISO details. Here, you will see the ISO Region, if all boxes are checked it means it is region free. Most importantly though, you will see the Xtreme Compatibility section.
If you see the iXtreme Compatible box checked, then this means that your image is properly stealthed, no further work needs to be done.
Patching an unstealthed backup:
Step 1:
Open up XDVD Mulleter and go to View ISO Details again. Next, Browse your Hard Drive and load the backup that you wish to stealth patch.
Step 2:
Once Mulleter loads the ISO you may notice a few errors. This is completely normal. Just press OK
You may be prompted to fix your video partition, press Yes to fix it.
It will automatically begin to fix your Video Partition, just wait patiently it won?t take long.
Step 3:
You should notice a few things right away, even though the partition file was fixed it obviously didn't fix the SS,DMI,PFI files, both the SS & iXtreme Compatible boxes aren?t fixed yet. Thus, your ISO is still not stealth patched.
Step 4:
Click on the CRC Checking Tab, and then Press on Autofix. You should receive a few messages, just click yes on any of them.
NOTE: Sometimes you will receive a message saying ?Game not found in database? this just means that no stealth files have been uploaded to the database yet, usually this happens when games are brand new.
If you would rather stealth patch your games manually, these two sites should cover most of your games:
Once it is done fixing it, you should see something similar to this box.
You finally now have the iXtreme Box checked, and if you had the SS,DMI,PFI boxes unchecked they should now be checked.
Step 5:
We aren?t done yet however. To be sure that the whole ISO is in good shape, we will check with the online Mulleter Database and see if the ISO is 100% stealthed. Go to the CRC Checking Tab once again, and this time press the CRC Details button. Check both the ?Check Game Data? (May take sometime) & ?Check online Database? options and then press the Check button. Wait until it is finished.
Hopefully everything well, if it did you should see a box that says ?Stealth files checked out perfectly?
NOTE: Again, If you get a message saying ?Game not found in database or ini file could not be loaded? then this means that either your game isn?t recognized by the database or the game is too new and hasn?t had any stealth files uploaded to the database yet, don?t worry. As long as you have the iXtreme box checked you should be fine.

it is absolutely necessary to change the book type? i have a NEC 3450A and Sony DRU 710A burner neither of their booktypes can be reset using imgburn from what i've read, which is the app I'd rather used because it seems to be the "one stop" application to use and my friend uses it and doesn't have a problem with game playback, he of course has a burner compatible for imgburn though.
