After losing a few original games to scratches and dogs, I decided to download copies of the games and stealth patch & burn them etc. to play on my ixtreme fw 360 so that I can always burn a new copy if the dogs get hungry again.
However, my concern is now this: I downloaded FIFA 08 the other night and before I could play it on live, I had to register the game to my email address etc. I gave it no further thought until I downloaded a backup of the new 'battlefield: bad company' yesterday, and without my doing anything, I received an email thanking me for registering my copy of battlefield.
Now I'm wondering if the powers that be can look at my live account, tie it to my personal details and say "oops, this guy is playing stealth patched games online - better ban him!!".
Sorry, I'm just a bit dim on how the whole stealth patching and detection online works. Can anyone put my mind at ease?
