Dearest trashy401, Almost all of your problems can be attributed to two processes alone. The first problem is Media Quality. If you use the 'El-cheapo variety blank disc, please don't expect anything less than a poor result. Second consideration (and most important) is the speed at which you burn to that media. Ask anyone here at AD, and the preferred is either Taiyo Yuden OR Verbatim, and at speeds at HALF the rated/advertised. Even if you use the 'El cheapo variety, your results will be enhanced by burning at 4X. Tell us your results...eh?

Cheers.

Onya is right on.

Quality blank media. Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, or Sony.

Burn between 6x and 8x max or half the rated speed of said media.

Don't multitask while you're burning.
