I seem to ALWAYS find EXACTLY what i need without asking, but in this case everything i found a problem similar to mine i couldn't post in the thread because it was too old.

My problem is as follows:
I have a copy of Placebo's Soulmates Never Die: Live in Paris in ISO form. (which i also extracted and now have ISO and the Video_TS files)

I tried for myself, about 3 hours to fix this, maybe longer all to no avail.

First problem is: The Disc i want to use is 4.37 and the ISO is 4.91
It came off a disc, now i just need to get it back on one!

Second Problem: One Video_TS is in PAL.. the other in NTSC. I discovered this when i tried to use VOBblanker to examine the issue.

Third: DVD Shrink will not allow me to open any of said files. I get the error: Invalid UDF filesystem with the ISO

AS you know, if i could get DVD Shrink to open the image or the Files therein.. I could compress the film down just enough to fit on my disc without issue.

When i try to use Shrink to open the extracted Video_TS files it tells me that it cannot open them because the computer cannot find the file specified.

I have burned hundreds!! Of dvds from torrent or netflix in formats of all sorts..and this is my first issue other than it saying once that the menu was unreadable or something of that sort.

Lets see, did i leave anything out..

Not that i can think of..

Any suggestions?
I would redownload it but Isohunt says its the only copy in ISO...(which i prefer because i love the menus and this DVD is hard to come by around here..and netflix doesn't carry it)

Did you try to "unrar or unpack" the ISO?

If you have, try and use "fixvts" to fix the vob's. Whenever I have a problem video files that won't open in dvdshrink (menu or navigation errors) running all the vob's thru fixvts always fixes the problem.

I tried it, once again to no avail.
From what i'm getting...
My video is in NTSC and my Menus are PAL..

It doesn't make sense that they are different.

ok...... why don't you try using ConvertXToDVD and see if this does the trick. It will take your folder where your Video_TS.IFO is and then you can convert it to DVD format and you can even set it to burn to disk! try that programs and see if it works for you! I have used it to convert PAL to NTSC many times.... so that portion of your DVD that is in PAL will be converted to NTSC automatically and it will compress to fit onto a DVD5! try it ... should work.

Pesky oversize files! As a suggestion, see if Nero Vision Express 3 can recode to HARD DRIVE folder, not to disc, THEN use DVD Shrink to reduce size. I don't know about mixed formats, but Nero Vision Express has always advised me if format is not in my default and changes accordingly with a prompt.

This program CovertXtoDVD opened the files...but it wants to watermark my video...
I don't think it would be wise on my part to purchase something that i am not even sure will work correctly as i need it..

this is one of the best programs around for converting to DVD..... don't take my word on it..... ask around the forum.

also you can try it out and see if it does do what you want it to do! even though the free version leaves a watermark on it........ at least you can try out the full version and see for yourself! then if it does what you want it to do.... then make a decision!~

I do not doubt it is a great program...but the other programs i used that were suggested may OPEN the files...but when it comes to burning...they wouldn't do it.

Something always messes up in the last of the process..one thing or uanother.

So, if i pay 45dollars for it...then it doesn't end up doing as i needed...then what?

IF i could see a finished project to my liking..i probably would purchase it..
Seeing as how i only need this program once..
It doesn't make sense for me to pay that much..
I could buy the DVD from someone im sure for way less...If i had a credit card.

Ugh, looks like i may just be screwed on this one.

Are you talking about VIDEO_TS the folder, or video_ts.ifo ?

What is the compete set of files (and there sizes) in the iso?

It's not legal (as far as I know) to have a mix of PAL and NTSC
on the same DVD.

DGOphelia......... I think you don't understand about the free version! Yes it does leave a watermark logo (on the free version!). What's preventing you from using it and burn to an RW disk? This way you can test out the whole program and even burn to disk and see if it fixed your problem! I don't understand you? Now willing to try? that's ok..... and if you're burning DVDs then this programs has many uses, including making Menus for your DVD, not just converting video files to DVD. So I doubt it that you won't be using this program JUST ONE TIME! lol YOU'RE FUNNY. But, if I were you, I would at least see if this fixes the problem by using the free version and burn to a re writable disk. there ..... I said my piece! the answer is there in front of you, but will you take the plunge?

IHoe: yeah, i see what you were saying..
but i make all my menus with Nero..
And i rip all my DVDS with menu with shrink.
All are free.

Like i said before i've made several hundred dvds.
In this ONE case, i want to have the original Menu from the iso..which i would have if it wasn't too big. It would probably burn if it wasn't 4.91 gigs. Since it isn't, i need to shrink it to a dvd size, but nothing will open it that will allow me to edit the files enclosed.

Davexnet:
I got something to finally open the files a bit back, but it says my video is one format, and my menu is another. It really doesn't make sense...
as for the info you asked for..i will display it later...
Right now i have company who are hounding me for attention =P
