Hey everyone. I have a mkv that I want to convert to play on the 360. Now, Im having a lot of trouble with this file. I have tried using gotsent, and xenonmkv, both say the file is unplayable on the 360. After seeing these message, I tried to convert it to 360 friendly myself. I manually demuxed, converted audio, changed the avc level, and remuxed. It plays on my 360, however, it has an a lot of artifacts on the video which plays, which brings me to my current problem.
Why are there so many artifacts during playback? I suspect it is because of the fairly high bitrate of the avc, which leads me to ask how I can lower its bitrate. Using h264info, I entered a max bitrate of 10000 kb/s, but that seems to have done nothing. The file still has a lot of artifacts when I play back. So here are my questions.
Is the problem of artifacts due to the high bitrate? If so, how can I lower it. Can I do this using h264info? If there is something else I can do to get rid of the artifacts, please tell me. This is really annoying.
