Getting rid of DRM on a WMV 9 file??

I grab video files with WMrecorder, but i still havn't found a solution to getting rid of the Digital Rights Management protection on the files, so i can burn them on DVD.... FreeMe apparently only works up untill WM version 7.... does anyone have a clever suggestion...?

Hey Bob, did you ever find a solution for this? I tried FreeMe but I have windows xp and this doesn't work. Any suggestion?

yeah, we're trying to do the same with a supposed "full paris hilton vid." altho it's pretty obvious it's fake, we want to see how they're ripping people off

we tried FreeMe, but after some research, found out it only cracks DRMv2. the latest is either DRMv2.2 or 2.3. we're trying to figure out if it's worth trying to contact the author, "Beale Screamer". i know newsgroups where he collects his encrypted messages, but i don't know PGP.

From what I have heard the DRM in WMV 9 hasn"t been cracked or circumvented as Of Yet but I hope it will be soon....

i think it has, either the lame transcoding way (frame by frame advance) or brute force.. the "full" hilton vid is now on sites all over, even stille, if the person i heard it from can be believed (random IRC person). i KNOW it's on a certain porn-only bittorrent site...
