I have a a modded firmware downloaded onto my psp that was done ages ago, but have since started using it for normal games. I have not updated since I got the modded firmware put on but have noticed later updates out. I have tried downloading these updates but the system either stops and reboots or says 'cannot play game'. This might sound stupid but can you not upgrade from modded firmware to authentic? I know i wont be able to play backups but that doesnt bother me. If this is the case is there anyway round this? Cheers

what are you on at the moment

if you are less that 3.52m33-4 then you will need to update to that first then you can update higher.

after you update to 3.52m33-4 then you can update to a higher fw liek 3.71m33, 3.80m33 or 3.90m33

my current firmware is 3.02 OEB.
Like i said i havent updated in ages coz i stopped using it, so does that mean i cant update to an official firmware from sony? I just want to be able to use my psp and ps3 in conjunction. Cheers for the reply.
