Hey, i was just wondering whether for example, the psp slim can run on the power from a usb cable.

I did a little experiment and this is wat hapen. I plugged the usb cable and it started charging my battery. I then started watching a video while it was charging the battery and i simply pulled it out. For about 2-3 seconds the video continued playing without the psp battery being inside.

So, is there a way it could run indefinetly on the usb?

Yes there is an option in the PSP settings for the USB to charge the battery.

no. the usb port is not designed to run the psp solely. it's only an alternative to charging.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

Not enough flow through the USB port to support the PSP. There are third party cables you can use, though, that have a normal charge port, which may help you.
