Like i said on some othe post, im gonna go way back, my NTSC wii still has the 3.1u firmware, and i have a wiikey that has never been updated since i installed it on september 2007.And of course i want to play some of the new games like ssmm, mario kart wii, smg, ect, and i almost had it figured out untill they released this 3.3 update and now im back to zero again. Well my question is: Is there a way to update my wii only till the 3.2u firmware and which version of the wii key sholud i use for this? Also in which order am i supposed to update them?
I'll appreciate any help im sure this is old but i've been playin xbos 360 a lot.

Mario kart has firmware 3.2 on it. There are no games with firmware 3.3 yet. So just run the update from mario kart and you'll be set.

But if my wiikey has never been updated a ihe to do that first right? upgrade wiifit to 1.9s?
Can i upgrade wiikey to 1.9s with my wii firmware in 3.1u?

Err... would there be some reason why you couldn't? The modchip and console firmwares have nothing to do with eachother, either can be updated without the other being done.

But yes, you'll need to upgrade the wiikey to at least 1.9g (1.9s is better of course) to be able to play (or upgrade the wii firmware from) any games that came out after SMG.
