Hi
can someone please help me here.
I have a Sony DAV-DZ230 Home Theatre system.
An i bought some HD Movies but when i put them in
they don't play???

can anyone help me here i taught it was a hd player as it has hdmi on the dvd player.

any advise here????

That doesn't appear to be a high def setup.
Just because it has HDMI, doesn't mean it's high def. That just means it will carry video and audio over the one cable, from dvd to tv.

If it upconverts to high def, it would need the HDMI also, but it doesn't even seem to be an upconverting player either. HDMI will carry a high def signal, but having HDMI doesn't mean it is high def. Sorry you misunderstand about HDMI...........
