I've installed the chip, but I can't boot anything. If I hold down square, i get the message that it is disabled, but i can't even boot original ps2 games. All I can do is get to the mainscreen, where i have the options "browser" or system configuration. Any ideas?

you gotta install new firmware. its called "toxic" so try searching for that.

The thing is, I have the toxicBios cd, but it won't boot! Nothing will boot, at all. I just get the main ps2 screen. Unless I'm doing something wrong here...

thats not good. the ps2 is supposed to still play regular games and movies just like before until you install the toxicBios. is the chip soldered right to the board or with wires? cause i would go back over all the wires and make sure everything is where its supposed to be.
