Hi, everyone. I have got slim psp with 4.01 m33-2 cfw.
Why cant I play psx games on this cfw?
If anyone has found a way to do so please inform me.

I am also after a popsloader that works with 4.01m33-2. Have u got the firmware set to the correct kernel in the recovery menu? Im just assuming that you have already converted the ps1 game to the psp eboot and copied it to the memstick

The kernel in the recovery menu is 4.xx and i can also changfe it to 1.50. Also I have the game id correct and it's in eboot.pbp format. But it still doesn't work.

If the game hasn't worked on previous firmwares it cud be a bad rip, if it has been working or u know it does work then id try changing the kernel to 1.5 and putting the eboot in the GAME folder on the memstick thats how mines set up. so its like Memstick>PSP>GAME>GAMENAME OR ID>eboot.pbp

yeah i never got mine to work after 3.52m33, i got all the dumps that i made and even ones that ppls made and still nuthin :( if possible could someone make the files agian for me please, i have tried and i havent played ps1 since 3.52 :( Please and yes i read that pops guide and still a no go

I found a pops plugin i had downloaded when i was on 3.90 somet, works great :D versions 3.00 to 3.80, i havent seen one more recent than that but that one works fine so i can now play resi 2 and 3 again :D

Yeah the game worked fine and flawless on 3.90 m33-3 but on 4.01 m33-2 it doesn't work. Anyways i will try to change the kernel to 1.5 as choas7 said.

Im not positive on 4.0 but in older POPs just hold "R" or was it "L"?lol while starting the psx game and itll let you choose a new version of pops for that specific game. i believe 3.40 was the best for most psx.

mine works fine, but I only installed it when I switched to 3.90 so that might have something to do with it.

Just tested with 4.01 m33-2 works great for FF7.

My psp slim would nt play ff7 until i got this. great find thanks ^_^
