Ok so, just to be clear there is currently no way to play backup Wii games (or to backup your Wii games) without a modchip. nothing that can be loaded from the homebrewchannel, GeckoOS, or a bootable disk can let me play a backup game. Is that right? I really want to know before I backup all my games (I will back them up anyway if I can just in case they break).
If there is something that may in time (a current project) play backups without modding could you point me to that.

Right, no backup play without a modchip at current time. And no way on the horizon either, as the makers of the homebrewchannel and twilight hack are extremely anti-piracy and wont allow their projects to be used for playing bootleg, or backup, games.
So pretty much if you found an exploit, and created a hack for it, you would be able to do whatever you want. You would be able to allow people to run any code they want etc. ( I believe?)
