PAL Wiiconsole and NTSC Wii Fit Board/Software

so I bought a Wii Fit system while in the States and realized after I returned to NZ that it wouldn't work in our PAL system. So I ordered a D2cPro and chipped the console. now Wii Ski works, but not with teh balance board. Wii Fit starts but hangs after I select the 'Start' option from the Screen.

The real issue is the balance board won't synch to the console and actually hangs the system requiring a hard shutdown when I try to synch it up. Another curious thing is there are now two weather and news channels that appear on the main screen.

All the forums I have read suggest the board should synch, but my experience is otherwise.
Thoughts?

yes the board would sync, but ur problem is i think u semi brick ur wii with an out of region game.

OK here may also be your issue.

I have heard that the u.s wii fit boards only sync to u.s consoles and so on and so forth with the others and i doupt you bricked your console.

From what i have found out is certain titles contain new modification detector software rockband and wii fit both do depending on version and where you got the game from you can however get by this by resigning the disk but if you update to firmware 3.3 resigning the disk no longer works..

so you have a real challenge ahead of you.

The other games I have are also NTSC and work fine. It is only the Wii Fit Board and program that hang-up. so how do I resign the disk? Currently I have v3.2e firmware and have no plans on upgrading giventhe problems with it.

I will say that Wii Ski, which uses the board, also won't let the board synch.

I had the same problem, UK PAL Wii console with US Wii Fit and balance board.

With Wii Key updated to the latest version (1.9x?), Not sure what the console firmware is (it was updated online last week - How do you see what the firmware version is?) Anyway, the console would see the Wii fit disk but would lock-up on loading (black screen) and was unable to connect to the balance board. I then tried a PAL version of the software and it works fine. Balance board connects fine and works great - so dont think there is any hardware issues.

Not tried PAL WiiSki yet but the US version shows the same symptoms as NTSC(U) WiiFit.
