I have a philips dvdrw228 and when i try to burn cd or dvd with nero6 i got erroe(communicatinon failure)and
when i tried with clonecd i got same error

Using Nero 6.3.0.2 burning "data" to a cd-r(w). Open Nero>look way up to the upper left hand dialog and be sure CD is enabled. Over to the left choose CD-ROM(ISO) and enable no multisession and click New.
To burn a dvd+r(w)-r(w) in the upper left hand dialog box enable DVD, over to the left choose DVD-ROM(ISO), no multisession and click New. Burn some data m8.

2.In general burning at maximum speed is not a good idea (if u are using +RW discs that is). Does the problem go away with a slower burn speed.
3. Try different media. :-)
