The price cut is in just a couple days. I'm sure there are still plenty of Arcades with Benqs on the shelf. They don't sell as quickly as the Premium and Elite.
And, if worse comes to worse and he can't find any flashable Arcades, then he could buy the refurb.
Of course, buying that refurb, he runs the risk of getting a Hitachi 79. MS doesn't always replace the drive when a console is sent in.
Don't EVER buy a refurbished 360. It's pretty much a guarantee it's going to break again very soon, unless it's the off chance that just the DVD drive was repaired or replaced. Pretty much all these overstock retailers selling re-furbished don't even have ones that MS fixed, but rather 3rd party repaired. Those are pure crap.
