im tired of burning image files only for them to turn out pal and i get that dreaded "CANNOT PLAY THE DISC" or w.e so is there any program out there that i can check what region or if the dvd is ntsc without burning and wasting a dvd to find out doesnt matter if i have to munt it or anything because anything is better then wasting more dvd's

thanks

Here is an .iso image file dragged onto 'GSpot'.
It shows the contents as being 'NTSC'.

hey so I won't have to start a new thread, is there any programs that I can use to convert video_ts files or image files or both (please specify) from pal to ntsc (not ntsc to pal) danx again

For files in a DVD folder (VIDEO_TS), you can convert the main movie with 'ConvertXtoDVD' or 'Nero Vision'.
AFAIK, neither will convert the menu.

The only way I have converted a PAL disk (with the complete functioning menu) is to use 'VOB Blanker' to reset the flags in the VOB files, and process the files to a new folder, then burn using 'IMGBurn'.

Yeah.. knows his stuff does attar..

The problem with the menus is the frame size. I'm thinking that maybe modifying the still frame background images to the right (720-576 or whatever) size-format might solve it? If you have the files knocking about it must be worth an experiment??
