Hello, as you can see, this is my first post, but I have lurked around this site for about a year or two. Whenever I am having a problem, this is the place to come, but I don't seem to see the solution to a problem I am having creating a magic memory stick with a usb card reader to fix my fully bricked PSP. With every installer I use, my memory stick never gets the files copied onto it. I always get some sort of error message. I found an installer I think would fit me better in TotalNewbiEasyInstaller, so, I started using it. I get past the part where it "Initializes the File Allocation Table" fine, then, I go to where it formats the memory stick. I follow the directions perfectly after the format. It says to remove the memory stick THEN stop the USB connection and press Enter. The next screen says to reconnect the memory stick and card reader (well, PSP, but I don't have an extra one, just the bricked one) and I do, but, after that, none of the files copy on th next step, and, on top of that the File System Format for the memory stick is RAW. Is there any solution to this problem? I have no spare working PSP, nor do I know anyone with one, so, this is my only option on getting a magic memory stick (I have a Pandora Battery already as I ordered it from DealExtreme.) Thank you for any responses I get to help me with my plight. By the way, in case it matters, I am trying to make the MMS on Windows XP.

edit: I forgot to mention, I am using a 1gb Sony memory pro dup.

Thank you for any help I recieve

I looked around yesterday and you'll need partition magic. It's worth a try. If not the card is FUBAR

I'm having a similiar problem with my card. Windows says it's RAW and has a disk size of 0mb. psp won't recognize it. Did you use partion Magic? if not what did you end up doing to fix your card?

Sorry. I forgot all about my post here since I've pretty much given up on fixing my PSP. I got Partition Magic, and it didn't even see my memory card. Everything I've tried (Partition mover, clicking and dragging files) has come with nothing but failure, so, I've given up. What's so frustrating is that I tried it on a brand new memory stick with failing results.

Thank you for any help I recieve

That really sucks monkey testicles. i've downloaded a dozen different recovery and partitioning programs. nothing seems to work. I've got one last Idea. The psp caused the problem so it should fix it. I'm going to try to recreate the magic card because it uses a RAW filing system and take it from there.

sell your bricked one, you can easily get at least 50 bucks for it.
