This is starting to sound like an all out assult by the media companies on everything on the internet. I say add some commentary to your vid's or comment on them as an online independent critic, ta da you just stepped around their claims of infringement by free speach means. Nah that wouldn't work there is no such thing as fair use or free speech anymore is there?!

Methinks some of these companies are just looking for any reason to sue someone. Any reason.

OMG...is there an end in sight? Or are we going to have digital transmitters/receivers attached to our eyeballs with bar codes that have our credit card number digitally signed into it? And whenever we happen to glance at a movie playing that's not registered with our eyeballs, our credit card gets automatically charged. This would make a great sci-fi movie.

Quite sad companies are this money-hugry. They didn't even send the webmaster a takedown notice, WTF? Don't the video companies have a notice that says "Please do not upload copyright material- it will be deleted". Shouldn't EMI go after the uploaders, the people who actually did something wrong?

The FCC has adopted rules requiring all television sets with picture screens 33 centimeters (13 inches) or larger to be equipped with features to block the display of television programming based upon its rating. This technology is known as the "V-Chip." The V-Chip reads information encoded in the rated program and blocks programs from the set based upon the rating selected by the parent. [News Release on TV Set Requirements and Ratings]

Pursuant to the Commission?s rules, half of all new television models 13 inches or larger manufactured after July 1, 1999, and all sets 13 inches or larger manufactured after January 1, 2000 must have V-Chip technology. Set top boxes that allow consumers to use V-Chip technology on their existing sets are now available.

In Section 551 of the Telecommunications Act of 1996 Congress gave the broadcasting industry the first opportunity to establish voluntary ratings. The industry established a system for rating programming that contains sexual, violent or other material parents may deem inappropriate and committed to voluntarily broadcast signals containing these ratings. We have done it to ourselves, when suing someone is easier and cheaper than going out to dinner. In the States, we need a law as in the UK, where "loser pays for everything".
We also need a law whereas if a lawsuit was done without merit, the defendant automatically gets 100 x the amount the plaintiff asks, and without lawsuit insurance (in case the plaintiff gets nailed for meritless suits), a case cannot go to trial.

Just resonable steps IMHO

Complimentary "E.m.i. Unlimited Edition" Ringtone
(J. Rotten, P. Cook, S. Jones, G. Matlock)

There's unlimited supply
and there is no reason why
I tell you it was all a frame
they onl1y did it 'cos of fame -
Who? EMI

Too many people had the suss
Too many people support us
An unlimited amount
too many outlets in and out -
Who? EMI

And sir and friends are crucified
a day they wished that we had died
We are an addition
we are ruled by-none
Never ever never

And you thought that we were faking
that we were all just money making
you do not believe we're for real
or you would lose your cheap appeal?

Don't judge a book just by the cover
Unless you cover just another
And blind acceptance is a sign
of stupid fools who stand in line like EMI

Unlimited edition
with an unlimited supply
That was the only reason
we all had to say goodbye

Unlimited supply
EMI there is no reason why
EMI I tell you if was all a frame
EMI they only did it 'cos of fame
EMI I do not need the pressure
EMI I can't stand the useless fools
EMI unlimited supply
EMI Hallo EMl goodbye A & M

get your "supposedly" free ringtone.. http://www.metrolyrics.com/emi-unlimited...ex-pistols.html

Remember them EMI?? They were the guys who stood for freedom to choose and wore swastikas and safety pins. My generation.. free thinkers not sheeple. And even they sold out to the a$$hats listed in my sig.. another example of the enemies of free thinkers everywhere.

And I bet in the eyes of the BPI posting those lyrics is copyright infringement too!! You might actually remember the song and play it in your mind without paying for it!!!!!!
