I have a similar problem on the top.
I updated my wiikey to 1.9s. And then i updated my firmware to 3.3e (yes i know, im very stupid should read before doing stuff). My wii is PAL. And then i put in my Mario Kart game (not origial) to see if it stuffed up my wii. and then messaged popped up saying that disc is corrupted and stuff. Even before pressing the first box in wii menu, it pops up saying that disc is corrupted and stuff. I'm guessing that games that are like before saying #001 error disc can not be or detected or some shit. But theres a way around to playing mario kart. If you have the mario kart channel, all u need is go to it, go to competition, and then when they asked u put in your disc. you put it and then u go out. Then the game will take u the menu of the games which allows u to play mario kart normally. The problem is, the hassle that you have to go through to play mario kart. So what I'm asking is that is there like a way to reverse the firmware back to 3.2e or something. This 3.3e update is total bs. Like if i find a way to reverse this, from now on, im never gonna update ever again. Stupid nintendo, why can't they leave us alone >.>
