hoose the update by moving the X at the left up and down with the D-Pad. Then press X when you select the update you want. The Memory Stick Led will flash a few seconds (3.80 M33 and 3.90 M33 flashes a little longer) and after it stops flashing you can go to EXIT at the bottom of the list and it will exit to XMB. Now run the UPDATE via Game Menu Memory Stick.

For those wanting to go to 3.80 M33 or 3.90 M33 or 3.95 GEN just go straight to it and skip the 3.71 M33-4 update.

Those that have a FAT PSP you can also install the 1.50 ADD ON that corresponds with whatever firmware you choose to update to (3.95 has no 1.50 ADD ON at this time).
thast where im at.

You should be able to play umd's off the mem stick now with 3.71M33.

Update to 3.90 or higher to play the newer games. Format the stick in the psp and the folders you need are created. ISO's in the ISO folder.

From the xmb press select change cpu speeds to 333 and umd iso mode to sony NP9660

Personally I would choose 3.80M33-5

If you want to do so, choose 3.80M33 then install it then go back and do 3.80M33-5 to install the latest update.

You will then be able to play games from the mem stick.

The Datel Battery and also a Pandora battery is used alongside the Magic Memory stick to install Custom Firmware to PSP's.
