That game is Safedisc 2.9 protected.

If you need to burn a SafeDisc2 protected game the major consideration is the drive doing the copy; certain drives have certain characteristics that give them an easier time to perform SafeDisc2 copies than others. Such drives are described as being 2-sheep burners. Drives not quite up to the task (however capable of), are described as 1-sheep burners and heaven forbid, 0-sheep burners. So the first thing you need to do is to find out what make/model your burner is and if it is a 2-sheep burner or not. To determine your make and model of your optical drives; if you happen to have Nero Infotools installed, start it up and under the Drive tab, it will list all the relevant specifications and capabilities of your burner. The actual name of your burner is listed in the drop-down box at the top (those numbers before the name of your burner are important too!). You can get InfoTools from http://www.cd-rw.org/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/nero_info_tool.cfm Once you have determined tha name of the burner, head on over to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/45121 to see if that burner is listed there or not. If it is listed there, it is a 2-sheep burner; if it is not listed there it is not neccesarily a 2-sheep burner but highly unlikely. Now if you have a 2-sheep burner head on over to http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/23699 to find out how to copy a SafeDisc2 protected game. If you are running a 1-sheeper than visit http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/36444 for the appropriate guide.

Check the CD on another computer -- it seems you have made a correct backup. SD doesnt typically give those kinda of errors.

I easily defeated The Sims Makin' Magic expansion pack with a Memorex 52MAXX& Polaroid BurnMAX48 cd burners. I used CloneCD& FireBurner. Did you look at the "2 sheep burner list (efm encoding) to see if your Litey 16x is on the list? Cd burners have come way down in price so maybe consider the Lite ON 52\32\52x or Lite ON 52\24\52x). These 2 cd burners have been confirmed to backup Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time (Safedisc 3.15) The "best all in one burner" is the Plextor Premium (52\32\52x) but struggles to backup Safedisc 3.10& 3.15 but does write Varirec , a special "write" method designed by Plexy engineers for backing up SecuROM pc game protection.

having trouble with URU the latest in the myst series from ubisoft/cyan aray scanner says safedisc 2.9 and the alcohol 120% link lists it as 3.10 regardless ive made a few coasters which load goes to setup you adjust stuff and then goes to opening screen and stalls ive read here and cd freaks and i tried to disable auto run in 120% but in Nero config it shows autorun on in both drives, didnt see where to disable it in device mgr. seems like the discs are just a change of settings from being able to run and function ????? any suggestions dvd rom sony ddu 1621/////dvd_rw is nec dvd_rw 2500A and i have made a backup of a dvd with shrink so i know the stuff works!! but i still in all my reading dont know if its a 1 or 2 sheep burner it wasnt in any of the lists ????????????????????

It's not in any of the lists because the NEC 2500 isn't two-sheep burner - I don't know if it even qualifies as a 1-sheep. Very few DVD burners are good at backing up PC games.

I highly suggest reading the second post in this thread by Praetor. It tells you what you need to do and where to go to get started.
