Ok, heres
what ive got so far. A couple days ago i got the infamous "Red Ring Of Death". Yesterday i tried "The Towel Trick". Now, instead of the "RROD", i got the overheating warning, 2 red lights. After that I did the "X Clamp Fix". Now it works, but there is a freezing point in the game and the usual "LOUD FAN NOISE" is not there. The fan still spins, just not as intense as it did before the initial RROD. Any ideas?

the fan should be running quieter because it spins faster when the system gets hotter. i would check your tightness of your screws, how much thermal compound you used, and use a game you know runs perfect, maybe just try switching the game. thats for starters anyways

Dude, i feel like a TOTAL NEWB! I played a back up, and left it on for over an hour and came back and it played like a champ. Then I tried the game that it was freezing on again.......took it out of the case........looked and the data side of the disc........whats on there? A piece of lint!! not sure if it eas there before, but i took it of and the game played great. Thanks for the response.
