Question about drive flashing/Xbox Live

ok, so a few months ago, I looked into modding my 360, but I had a Benq drive, and back then the benq were unable to be flashed.

Anyways, I recently came back into the modding scene looking for updates, and now I see that the benq can be flashed.

However, of course flashing carries the risk of a Xbox Live ban.

I vaguely remember some sort of "stealth flash", or other security feature to help prevent bans from XBL.

Could someone point me in the direction of a tutorial or maybe give some info on this?
